Bishop Hill Race 2019

Race Reports, March 08, 2019

A few club members took off to the Bishop hill Race - even if they were wearing the wrong colours! ;)

Running races seemed to be the order of the day as we had four club members brave the journey over to Fife for the legendary Bishop Hill Race 2019. This race is approximately 3.5km with a 300m climb starting from Portmoak Village Hall in Scotlandwell. It’s short, sharp and steep!

Joan and Colin Wilson, Denise Purves and Lynn Gatherer all took part and all competing against each other (every man/woman for themselves in these hill races you know!) Thanks to Storm Freya, conditions were wet, windy and muddy but that just added to the fun.

The speedy four did extremely well, 83 runners took part and the results were as follows;

Denise finished in a time of 0:25:23 and was 27th overall and 4th female to finish.
Joan finished in a time of 0:26:40 and was 38th overall and 6th female to finish.
Colin finished in a time of 0:26:41 and was 39th overall and 33rd male to finish.
Lynn finished in a time of 0:29:06 and was 53rd overall and 13th female to finish.

Absolutely fantastic racing folks.👏👏👏👏
